Step 6: The unit’s timetable and action plan

Step 6: Agree on actions; create timetable and action plan

Based on the shared understanding of the unit’s work environment and well-being, employees must be involved in discussing and prioritising proposals for initiatives that can improve and strengthen the work environment and well-being in the unit.

Following discussions between the unit’s management and employees, the health and safety groups draw up a timetable and an action plan for implementing the initiatives the unit has agreed to take.

In order for employees to have a good picture of what efforts are planned, the timetable and action plan must be communicated to employees. The following needs to be clear:

  • What initiatives are being taken?
  • What are the goals and success criteria for the initiatives?
  • When will the initiatives be implemented?
  • Who is responsible for implementing the initiatives?
  • How and when is follow-up done?
