New PhD-student at OPEN
Ellen Boldrup Tingleff is affiliated with OPEN as a PhD-student with the project: ”Reduction of mechanical restraint in forensic psychiatry - Patient and relatives’ perceptions and perspectives on mechanical restraint in forensic psychiatry”.
Ellen Boldrup Tingleff holds a BA and Master's in nursing and has in recent years been employed as a lecturer at University College Lillebælt (UCL), Nursing Education in Vejle.
Ellen was enrolled at OPEN, Department of Clinical Research, on 01.01.2016 and will, during the PhD-project, remain employed at UCL. Ellen is also employed at the Department of Psychiatrics, Middelfart. The project aims to develop knowledge that characterizes the opinion forensic psychiatric patients and relatives attach to their perceptions of situations before, during and after the belt fixations, and from this develop knowledge about what can reduce the number and length of belt fixations in forensic psychiatric practice. Main supervisor is Lise Hounsgaard, Professor at OPEN, Department of Clinical Research and senior associate professor at UCL. Project supervisor is Frederick A. Gildberg, Postdoc at the IRS and Research Coordinator & Head of Research at the Department of Psychiatry, Middelfart. Method supervisor is Stephen K. Bradley, Catherine McAuley School of Nursing and Midwifery, University College Cork.
