Professor affiliated OPEN
Consultant Bo Abrahamsen has by the first of March been hired as new professor of clinical epidemiological research at the Clinical Institute at University of Southern Denmark and has been affiliated with OPEN to promote the creation of an epidemiological service function.
Bo Abrahamsen researches chronical diseases such as osteoporosis. He is to map the different risk factores in the population and the results of treatment.
The 45 years old scientist toke his medical education and graduated from The University of Southern Denmark. He is a specialist in medical endocrine diseases and has since 2006 been head of the research unit at Medical Department F at Gentofte Hospital.
The professorship is a shared employment between Gentofte Hospital, The University of Southern Denmark and Odense University Hospital. Bo Abrahamsen will therefore also in the future be situated at the Osteoporosis Clinic and Section of Endocrinology at Medical Department F, Gentofte Hospital.
