Postdoc

The GAIA Postdoctoral Fellowship Programme will open for the 2024 round of applications on 1 October 2024. This EU programme, as part of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions, will offer 15 postdoctoral positions in two cohorts, with the first cohort recruitment in 2024 to start in mid-2025 and the 2025 recruitment (application opening 1 October 2025) to start early 2026. This is a unique opportunity for aspiring interdisciplinary early-career researchers across all disciplines including the Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences and Engineering.

Based at the SDU Climate Cluster, the University of Southern Denmark, the GAIA programme is designed to provide advanced interdisciplinary training, allowing fellows to collaborate across a diverse network of academic, public and private partners. Fellows will gain valuable experience that bridges academic research with societal engagement, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to climate change and green transition related challenges.

With a focus on personal and professional development, the programme also fosters leadership and collaborative skills, preparing young scientists to be effective leaders and drive innovation within the climate and green transition sector.

You can read more about the programme on GAIA’s website.
