The advisory board for American Studies

Purpose

Overall, the advisory board serves as a networking forum for dialogue between the programmes and employers in the labour market in order to ensure the quality and relevance of the programmes. A systematic dialogue will, among other things, improve the Faculty’s and University’s ability to provide guidance on skills, career paths and employment opportunities, as well as to make appropriate adjustments to study programmes.

  • ensuring that existing programmes are up-to-date and meet the requirements of potential employers
  • commenting on significant changes to existing programme regulations, new programme regulations or new programmes to be accredited
  • ensuring that graduates have optimal conditions for utilising their education in relevant, attractive positions
  • to help communicate that students can participate in academically based project-oriented programmes (internships).

  • The advisory board consists of employers from public and/or private organisations in areas of special interest to American Studies
  • The advisory board consists of 4–6 employer representatives and 1–2 representatives from the University
