As a biology student, you are automatically a member of the Biology Students' Council. The student council chairperson serves as the daily leader of the council. Once a year, an ordinary general assembly is held, during which a student council chairperson and student representatives for the committees at the Department of Biology are elected.
The student council chairperson invites representatives from each year group to 2-3 meetings per semester. If you have topics you’d like to discuss during these meetings, you can send an email to the student council chairperson or contact your year representative. Year representatives also regularly inquire within their year group if there are any issues to be addressed.
Additionally, the student council chairperson is responsible for the student lounge and handles communication between the Department of Biology and the students.
