Anna Paldam Folker is senior researcher and head of research at the National Institute of Public Health at SDU. She is interested in the contribution of ethics and modern philosophy to the development of public health science – specifically how the field of public mental health can benefit from philosophical analysis. Currently, she investigates how foundational theories of quality of life can elucidate empirical rating scales for the measurement of quality of life. She is also part of a transdisciplinary research project which explores shared reading as a source of meaning in life among older men on their way to retirement.
