In 2023, I obtained my PhD at the Bone Lab in Dresden, Germany, under the supervision of Martina Rauner. I participated in the European program FIDELIO, funded by Marie Sklodowska-Curie, which focused on bone health in diabetes. My research investigated the role of Dkk-1 in an adipogenic mouse model, aiming to determine whether inhibiting Dkk-1 from adipocytes could improve bone remodeling under steady conditions and HFD-induced obesity in a Cre-LoxP mouse model. Additionally, I explored the role of miRNAs in Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) and their contribution to bone fragility. This involved miRNA profiling from an inducible T1D mouse model using NGS sequencing. Translational research was also conducted to assess the correlation between identified miRNAs and T1D-induced bone fragility in human cohorts.

In 2024, I joined Alexander Rauch's team as a postdoctoral researcher at the KMEB, University of Southern Denmark in Odense. Here, my research has expanded to include the heterogeneity of stem cells from bone marrow aspirates and bone biopsies of osteoporotic patients. Another project focuses on studying BMAT content using a CRISPR-Cas9 mouse model to investigate bone health.

Beyond my professional life, I enjoy challenges and sports. I am adventurous, eager to discover new things and countries, and I love traveling. My guilty pleasure is French pastry, but I also enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and seafood.
