Supervision
Many students are guided by FNUG employees during the year – both in connection with ISAs, bachelor's-, and master's theses.
Here we mention examples of assignments and theses where FNUG's researchers have been supervisors.
Dorte Moeskær Larsen as supervisor on Liv Aamand Andersen's ISA in mathematics didactics
"Movement as a didactic tool in mathematics teaching at secondary school level?",
where Liv developed a teaching activity that, through bodily experiences, could teach the students about the importance of the differential quotient.
Amalie Thorup Eich-Hoy and Connie Svabo have been supervisors on Andrey Prata de Souza's bachelor's project
"Analysis of the social potential of mathematical game experiences for children in a youth club",
where Andrey explored and analyzed how mathematical gaming experiences can help strengthen social bonds and promote learning among children in youth clubs. In particular, he investigated how the game creates an inclusive and engaging learning environment, while at the same time developing the young people's mathematical skills. Through a concrete study of two mathematical games, "TEN" and "Diamond," Andrey Prata de Souza documented the children's reactions, cooperation and reflections during the game activities.
Maiken Westen Holm Svendsen and Connie Svabo have been supervisors on Sophie Ulka Pedersen's thesis
"The transition from mathematics in high school to mathematics at university".
Sophie Ulka Pedersen now teaches mathematics and chemistry at Ingrid Jespersen's High School.
