DINO 2021 Conference

We are pleased to announce that the network Diversity in Nordic Literature (DINO) will be hosting its 7th conference at the Department for the Study of Culture at the University of Southern Denmark in Odense.

Hope and education There has always been – and still is – a hope attached to education. Hope is the heart of the normativity of pedagogy and didactics: we are educating for a potential better future. The question is which hopes exist today, and which hopes can meaningfully be linked to today’s school and education?

In 2020, the annual Summer Institute of the CHCI HMHN will be hosted by University of Southern Denmark, with the theme, “Space, Place and Design in the Medical and Health Humanities.”

Åbningskonference - Center for Køn og Diversitet

Hvor står dansk køns- og diversitetsforskning i dag? Hvad kan den bidrage med i forhold til at forstå aktuelle samfundsmæssige problemstillinger? Hvilken rolle skal den spille i fremtiden? I anledning af lanceringen af Center for Køn og Diversitet på Syddansk Universitet inviterer Institut for Kulturvidenskaber til online konference over to dage med fokus på forskning i køn og diversitet i dag. Hele arrangementet er online, gratis, og det er muligt kun at deltage i de programpunkter, man har tid og lyst til. Alle er velkomne!

Utopia and Dystopia Conference

The conference welcomes multiple theoretical approaches and perspectives. The aim is to understand the use, function, and role of the fantastic today; to engage with its various expressions across media; and to ask what powers and appeal all its genres hold, from fantasy and fairy tales to science fiction and supernatural horror.
