Rasmus Glenthøj is an Associate Professor of History at the University of Southern Denmark. He is a Knight of the Royal Norwegian Order of Merit, the recipient of the Elite Travel-Scholarship (the Danish Ministry for Science, 2009) and the Carlsberg Foundation Distinguished Associate Professor Fellowship (2017), and the winner of The H. O. Lange Prize for Outstanding Research Dissemination (2014), The Nordic History Book Prize (2017, w. Morten N. Ottosen), and twice the runner-up for History Book of the Year in Denmark (2014, 2021 w. Morten N. Ottosen). Glenthøj has written widely on nineteenth century Scandinavian history in a comparative perspective with a special emphasis on political history, nationalism, war, and historiography. He has written, co-authored, or edited 19 books in four different languages. His two upcoming books (co-written with Morten N. Ottosen) on war and pan-nationalism in 19th century Scandinavia are entitled Scandinavia after Napoleon and Scandinavia and Bismarck.
