Master Students rewarded Esbjerg University prize 2011
Ane Katherina Mayer og Janni Skov has received Esbjerg University Prize 2011.
Ane Katherina and Janni started in 2005 at the Bachelor study of Environmental and Resource Management and continued in 2009 at the graduate study: ‘Master of Science in Environmental and Resource Management’ which is a joint education of University of Southern Denmark and Aalborg University in Esbjerg.
During their study Ane Katherina and Janni has been very active students and at the graduate course further more functioned as tutors. As part of their study programme, Ane Katherine has been in practical training in municipality of Ringkøbing, while Janni spent six month at University of Tasmanian.
For their joint Master thesis on "Landscaping of the open natural landscape combined with biogas production" they obtained the top grade 12. The thesis was analyzing the issue of how to maintain the biodiversity in areas from where resources are used to biogas production.
Esbjerg University Prize is given to ‘an outstanding student at University of Southern Denmark/Aalborg University in Esbjerg and with a special view to promote industry-based research in innovation, competence and internationalization’. Danske Bank Fonden in Esbjerg and Esbjerg Business Development Centre are behind the prize.
