Gabija became a part of ATLAS in 2021, contributing as a PhD Fellow within Jesper Grud Skat Madsen's group. Her research focuses on linking genetic variation to hepatocyte differentiation. The primary aim is to uncover key factors shaping the dynamics of cellular maturation pathways, leveraging advanced computational methods. Notably, the project is conducted in close collaboration with the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard.
Gabija handed in her PhD thesis in September 2024 and will defend her work in December 2024. She is currently transitioning to at postdoc position in ADIPOSIGN.
