Subhajit Dutta joined our center as a Research Assistant in 2023 and is currently a PhD Fellow in the research group of Associate Professor and Work Package leader Søren F Schmidt as of January 2024.
He is a plant biotechnologist by training, and before joining ATLAS in 2023, he worked as a Junior Research Fellow (2020-2022) at the Department of Biotechnology, National Institute of Technology Durgapur, India on network-based drug repositioning studies in obesity and type 2 diabetes. During his stay as Research Assistant, he investigated cell-type specific gene expression using RNA editing technology (RADARS). As a PhD Fellow, he is currently working at the nexus of both experimental and computational biology on single cell and drug repositioning studies of healthy and unhealthy human adipose tissue.
