Funded by a scholarship from the Danish Diabetes Academy, Trine finished her PhD in ATLAS in Lars Grøntved’s research group in 2023. There she was involved in setting up experimental approaches for the isolation of nuclei from specific cell types of mouse liver using transgenic mouse strains and in the identification of gene-regulatory networks driving hepatic cell type dysfunction in metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease by employing advanced next generation sequencing technologies and bioinformatics
In December 2023, she started as a postdoc in ATLAS in Anne Loft’s group where she focuses on the development of cell type-specific targeting approaches for adipose tissue with the aim of studying crosstalk between the adipose tissue and the liver in obesity.
