SUND Summer School: A course on writing processes & personal planning

Course content

SUND Summer School addresses aspects of research that relate to all PhD candidates, no matter what topic or method your project concerns.

The course combines lectures, workshops, and time for social interaction.

The academic writing processes

Writing is an essential part of life in research, but it is sometimes daunting. This topic includes two elements that will help you in academic writing:  1) A part on thesis writing will help you prepare for writing your thesis and hopefully make you look forward to this rewarding academic experience instead of fearing it. We will discuss the formal requirements and describe the main models for structuring a thesis.

 2) Developing your confidence and knowledge in using AI tools to become a better and more efficient academic writer.

Personal planning

Working in academics means you must deal with many tasks related to research, teaching, administration, clinical work, collaboration, and much more. Often, you will be self-managing your time and trying to prioritise work tasks while balancing work with other parts of your life. During the Summer School, an interactive session, "Plan Better – Get More Time", will be a brush up on your planning habits.
