Basic data science skills for health researchers using R and the Tidyverse

Content and aim

R and the Tidyverse is one of the world's fastest-growing and most popular data science platforms. This 4-day course will teach you how to use R and the Tidyverse to import, clean, transform, analyze, and communicate your data using high-quality tables and plots. The course will also cover the basics of how to perform a regression, test the assumptions, and generate regression tables. Still, it will leave some of the statistical details to other courses such as Biostatistics I and II.

The course will move slowly and assume that you have no previous experience with data science.

You should expect to spend 2 hours to install the programs R and Rstudio before the course begins (tutorials will be provided).

In the time period between day 2 and 3 of the course, you should expect to spend one day to work with course assignments.
