Course description
Getting insight into health is the overarching theme shared by members of the health research community. The goal is pursued in many different ways as illustrated by the very wide range of topics and methods covered by researchers at the Faculty of Health Sciences: From anthropology over biochemistry, clinical research and demography to zoonosis-studies, just to mention a handful. During your PhD you will contribute to the accumulation of highly specialized knowledge within your particulate field of research. Your specialist knowledge and competences will be invaluable. But refining your insight into other areas of health research may step up the value of your expertise even more.
The course will give you an introduction to the varied landscape of health research topics and methods. You will get an opportunity to meet a couple of the Faculty’s most esteemed researchers as well as fellow PhD students from other areas of health research. And you may be challenged on your understanding on some basic assumptions regarding health science.
