Course content
The course is designed to equip those having only limited or no prior experience of flow cytometry with a basic understanding of the technology and practical use in biomedical research. In brief, the course covers the following topics:
- The basic principles of conventional flow cytometry
- The basic principles of cell sorting
- Sample preparation and other challenges
- The transition from conventional flow cytometry to full spectral flow cytometry
- High parameter immuno-profiling by spectral flow cytometry
- Panel design and software solutions for analysis
Participants will, after the course, have a working knowledge and practical understanding of flow cytometry, specifically using the current state-of-the-art instruments available at the University of Southern Denmark.
Thus, participants will, after course completion, be equipped with the skills and knowledge to integrate flow cytometry in their own research, including designing and setting up basic experiments, acquiring samples, and analyzing data.
