This writing retreat is a unique offer to PhD students who find it difficult to get 'concentration-time', e.g. because they have young children or because they are busy at work and are expected to react to other needs than those directly related to their PhD project.
The course is suitable for those who need peace to write an article, to deal with reviewers' comments, or to work on their thesis. It would be a good idea first to have participated in an article structuring course or something similar.
During the retreat, you will have a room with a bed and a desk. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be served for you, and the surroundings are suitable for walks and runs. Tutors will be available to assist you with the structure and content of your text as well as gramma issues. You can choose to meet up with other course attendees, to ask for assistance from the tutors, or to stay and work in your room.
Please note that you are expected to participate in the whole course, i.e. to remain at the Writing Retreat for all five days and four nights.
After the application deadline, applicants will be asked to provide a motivation letter explaining why they require this course. The twenty most 'suitable' persons will be given a place The course is sponsored by the Graduate Programme in Clinical Medicine.
