Ph.d. student Ana Ionesi awarded with Reseach Grant
Ph.d. student Ana Ionesi awarded with Professor P. Ole Fanger's Reseach Grant at Danvak Dagen 2015.
Ph.d. student Ana Ionesi, from Center for Energy Informatics, was awarded with Professor P. Ole Fanger’s Research Grant of 25.000 DKK at Danvak Dagen, April 15 2015. The grant is for a study travel.
Nominated by Associate Professor Christian T. Veje
Ana Ionesi was nominated by Associate Professor, Christian T. Veje, from Center for Energy Informatics, due to her top level academic performance as a PhD student in his group.
Project on model-based analysis of building energy dynamics
She started her project on model-based analysis of building energy dynamics covering all energy aspects of residential or commercial buildings. The ultimate goal is to create a simulation-assisted control in building energy management systems by interfacing the physical model with advanced climate control systems.
Purpose of her project work
The purpose of this work is to increase the energy performance of the buildings and to close gaps between the predicted and measured energy consumption in buildings.
Green Tech Center's Living Lab as Case Study
As a case study we are considering the Green Tech Center's living lab situated in Vejle. The model is developed and implemented in energyPlus taking into account all aspects of the building: that is the envelope, the HVAC system, electrical equipments, occupancy and other internal loads.
Project Presentation and Author an Article for HVAC Magasinet
After receiving and accepting the grant award, Ana Ionesi presented her project at Danvak Dagen 2015.
Additionally, Ana Ionesi must author an article about her research project to the specialist journal, HVAC Magasinet.
The Research Grant
Professor P. Ole Fanger’s Research Grant is awarded each year to a promising and talented young PhD student, who is doing research within the area/field of indoor climate and energy.
Danvak Dagen
Danvak Dagen is a conference containing three different tracks within indoor climate, comfort and energy issues, an inspiring HVAC mini exhibition and is a good opportunity to expand your network.
