Center for Energy Informatics has employed Nicolas Fatras as 5+3 PhD student
We’re pleased to announce that Nicolas Fatras will become a new 5+3 PhD student at CEI. He will join us in the “Digital twin of the smart energy ecosystem” project. The project is part of the Sino-Danish Collaboration with the University of the Chinese Academy of Science in Beijing, China. His research will specifically focus on the transformation of the Danish and Chinese energy markets via developing a digital twin of the smart energy ecosystem for facilitating industrial consumers’ engagement in the sustainable energy market transformation.
Nicolas graduated his Master from the University of Cambridge (MPhil Energy Technologies) with distinguished honor. The dissertation topic during his studying at the University of Cambridge was “Fatigue reduction in floating offshore wind turbines using tuned mass dampers – A modelling approach in the frequency domain”. After graduation, he worked as a wind analyst & business developer at ZephyScience in Hamburg, Germany. ZephyScience is specialised in CFD modelling for wind resource assessment and his responsibility there was launching and expanding the company’s business development in Europe.
