Charlotte Wernberg is a medical doctor since 2014 where she graduated from the medical school at University of Southern Denmark. Since then she has been employed as a junior doctor at the Hospital of Southwest Jutland’s department of gastroenterology and hepatology. She has university–level teaching experience within neuroscience and anatomy but her current field of interest is hepatology and more specifically non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).
Since May 2019 she is a PhD student and clinical research assistant . The main focus of her research is to investigate new non-invasive biomarkers for the diagnosis of non-alcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH) as well as test them as response markers to evaluate progression, or improvement of an intervention.
