Lungomare will create two artistic installations and interventions in two
border regions, connected to the themes of B-SHAPES’ Working Package 4 and 5: Minorities
and border landscapes. The intention of Lungomare’s activities is to involve
citizens with artists in a series of workshops, to produce a counter
narrative to established narratives focusing on borders and separation
through a public installation.
The interventions will be place- and
context-specific, but with the common theme of borders shaping perceptions.
They will create public awareness of topics such as heritage, culture,
identity and belonging. Their spectacularity and Lungomare’s experience with
communication and dissemination will ensure over-regional visibility and
mediate the project to a wider audience.
02/10/24: Our B-SHAPES partner Lungomare has initiated the planned art events in the Czech-Polish and Bulgarian-Greek-Turkish border regions. They illustrate borders role in shaping our perceptions of society in a new, creative way. More information here.
