The center works with literary, cultural and communication approaches to H.C. Andersen's work, life and cultural significance. The center is based in Odense Secular Convent for Noble Women.
The Hans Christian Andersen Center is an international leading Centre for research in Andersen. Its research encompasses literary, cultural and communication approaches to Andersen's work, life and cultural significance. The Center conducts research at the highest international level, with the aim to develop new literary, cultural and communication approaches to Andersen and his complete work of art. The Hans Christian Andersen Center is home to collaborations with international and Danish researchers, cultural communicators and other relevant actors in the field.
