Bachelor Thesis – Energy Technology - 2015
This project investigates the implementation of big heat pumps in the district heating grid in Svendborg. Svendborg could use the heat from Svendborgsund (sound between Funen and Taasinge) to complement their existing heat production. Two scenarios have been analysed: The current situation today and a future scenario. It has been analysed which effects the implementation of big heat pumps would have in an entirely fossil free heat sector, which is the political goal for 2035. Economics has been taken into consideration and included in the recommendations for future changes.
