Apply for support for biobanking

Based on OUH's research strategy and OPEN's role as facilitator for clinical research at Odense University Hospital and Institute of Clinical Research, OPEN hereby announce the call for applications for financial support to cover laboratory costs when establishing a research biobank. OPEN may be applied for 50 % of the cost, not exceeding DKK 100,000.

Applications are judge by the following criteria

• The biobank contains/will contain biological material, which are not analyzed in this research project
• The biobank has potential, as an enriched cohort with new collaboration partners
• The biobank is/will be an OPEN biobank

Applications must include

• E-mail with the title: OPEN support for establishment of a research biobank
• OPEN application form 
• Project description/protocol
• Budget with information of other funding applications/grants
• The applicant’s CV
• Publication plan
• Relevant applications/permissions from the Research Ethics Committee and Danish Data Protection Agency via the Region of Southern Denmark, if these already exist
• Contract with Department of Clinical Biochemistry and Pharmacology, if it already exist

Applications from already existing OPEN projects must include

• E-mail with the title: OPEN support for establishment of a research biobank OP_XX (the OP_XX number can be found on the signed license agreement)
• Updated budget with information of other applications/grants
• Updated project description/protocol, if changes has been made
• New applications/permissions from the Research Ethics Committee and Danish Data Protection Agency via the Region of Southern Denmark, if such has been made for instant application for extension or additions to the original permit
