Introducing Mikolaj Myszkowski: New PhD Student Exploring Black Holes and Quantum Phenomena
We welcome Mikolaj Myszkowski, a new PhD student of Prof. Francesco Sannino, at the Quantum Field Theory Centre (QTC).
Mikolaj Myszkowski is a new PhD student of Professor Francesco Sannino starting this month. We asked him a few questions about his PhD project.
What is the goal of your PhD Project?
– The main goal of the project is to provide new insights into the quantum structure of black holes and other interesting physical systems. We will use a combination of analytical and phenomenological methods to investigate these models, and look for signs of new physical phenomena. The obtained results might also have interesting applications in the neighboring fields of quantum information theory, cosmology, and beyond standard model physics.
How do you feel about starting your PhD here at QTC?
– I am very excited to join the team of experts at the Quantum Field Theory Centre. Working under supervision of Professor Francesco Sannino and other colleagues is a great opportunity for me to further develop my skills. It will also allow me to contribute to the research area I have been so passionate about.
We are looking very much forward to having Mikolaj at the Quantum Theory Centre for the next three years.
About
Mikolaj Myszkowski completed his undergraduate degree in Physics and a Master’s degree in Mathematical and Theoretical Physics at the University of Oxford, graduating with first class honors in 2024.
He is broadly interested in theoretical work in classical and quantum gravity, quantum field theory and black hole physics.
