Green transition of the healthcare system in the Region of Southern Denmark

01-11-2022

Green transition of the healthcare system

As one of the large public procurement areas, healthcare can play a significant role in driving forwards the green transition in Denmark, by creating demand for sustainable and circular products.

This project uses interdisciplinary approaches to first establish options and eventually measure the effects of region-wide implementation of circular economy approaches within the region’s healthcare system.

The project aims to deliver a procurement strategy based on circularity principles which can prioritize, among other, products with longer lifetimes, leasing and repair and upgrade options.
