This PhD will assess motivation and barriers of stakeholder groups (e.g., citizens, managers, politicians) to implement nature-based solutions (NbS) for climate adaptation and resilience in the Odense Fjord watershed (as a model within Funen). It will contribute to and enhance a recently awarded EU Horizon project (ARCADIA). It will use the latest advances in behavioural science to design studies that will advance understanding of attitudes and beliefs held by individuals and organisations regarding NbS. The knowledge from these studies will be used to develop a blueprint of guidance for behavioural interventions for NbS in regions; such guidance doesn’t currently exist.
