I have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in public health science from 2021 and am now a PhD student in the research project Infant Health.
In my research, I am interested in the development, implementation and evaluation of health-promotion and preventive initiatives that can be used in practice and that can help make a difference to public health. I have a special interest in research into the well-being and mental health of families, children and young people.
I have previously been involved in evaluating an initiative to promote doctors’ involvement of patients in their own treatment. It was clear how crucial the social circumstances were for the implementation of the initiative.
It was also clear how important it is to examine this systematically and include the perspectives of both doctors and patients in order for the results of the evaluation to be utilised.
In Infant Health, I am particularly interested in researching what happens when an initiative such as VIPP-PUF is implemented in practice and how VIPP-PUF is perceived by the families and community health nurses involved.
Therefore, my PhD project has a particular focus on how the VIPP-PUF initiative is implemented among families with infants who are covered by the municipal health service.
