I have a bachelor’s degree in public health science, a master’s degree in humanities and social sports sciences and a PhD. I conduct research into how to promote the health and well-being of children and young people, and how new initiatives are evaluated.
I am particularly interested in how phenomena related to health and well-being are understood and experienced by the people who are in contact with the phenomenon.
My PhD project included qualitative studies of the implementation of a major health-promoting initiative in upper secondary schools, with a special focus on the students’ perspectives and experiences. I bring this approach and insight to the project Infant Health.
With a starting point in Infant Health, I am conducting an ethnographic study of healthcare services as a framework and basis for preventive interventions in early childhood.
In addition, through interviews and participant observations, I explore the perspectives of parents, community health nurses and leading community nurses, both in terms of the community health nurses’ usual practice and their practice with testing the VIPP-PUF intervention.
My studies will contribute an in-depth insight into the possibilities and conditions for implementing and possibly anchoring an initiative such as VIPP-PUF in the existing organisation and professionalism within municipal healthcare.
