The National Institute of Public Health, SDU has a long tradition of conducting population health surveys, and is responsible for The National Representative Health and Morbidity Studies (SUSY). The surveys are conducted in the adult population and the results can be used in national, regional and municipal planning and monitoring as well as in research and analysis.
Purpose
The purpose of the surveys is to describe the occurrence and distribution of health and morbidity in the Danish population, to establish time series that describe the development, to provide data for health planning and for analysis of geographical variations, to form the basis for cross-sectional and cross-sectional analyzes of health and morbidity as well as reference and control material for specific research projects.

Cross-sectional surveys.
Period of project
Conducted in 1987, 1994, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2013 and 2017, and the next survey is planned to be conducted in 2021.
