Parents’ knowledge about their children is crucial for us to develop suitable methods to prevent and avoid infants from having permanent mental health problems.

In Infant Health, parents’ knowledge will help us become wiser about the best way for health nurses to help vulnerable children and their parents so that the child’s problems do not develop.

We therefore ask a number of parents from the municipalities participating in the research project to answer questions about their child’s development from the age of approximately 9 months until 24 months.

Participating parents help the research in infant health, and they contribute new knowledge for the benefit of the health nurses’ future work.

But probably most importantly, they also contribute new knowledge for the benefit of infants and their parents in the future.

Who can participate?

Parents who live in one of the project municipalities (Albertslund, Allerød, Dragør, Egedal, Fredensborg, Gladsaxe, Glostrup, Herlev, Hillerød, Høje-Taastrup, Kalundborg, Køge, Rudersdal and Vejle) can participate if suggested by the health nurse at the home visit taking place when the child is 9-10 months old.

Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without it affecting the healthcare you normally receive.
