Centre for Global Health

Centre for Global Health is a cross-disciplinary centre under the Department of Clinical Research and Department of Public Health at the University of Southern Denmark

The centre is constituted of global health researchers and academic personnel who cooperates to promote global health research, teachings within global health, international cooperation, and international research stays for researchers and students. The researchers work at different research units according to their area of expertise.

Our primary field of research areas are:

  • Refugees, migration, war, and vulnerability
  • Public health and determinants of health across borders
  • Pollution, environmental and work-related diseases
  • Sexual and reproductive health
  • Vaccination programmes and contagious diseases
  • Implementation and real-life effects of health interventions
  • Diabetes and endocrinology
  • Burden of disease measurement
  • Gender equality in health
