The section SDU Technology Entrepreneurship and Innovation (TEI) conducts research and education within various phases of the innovation process, and it extends the traditional view by considering the boundary-crossing and interdisciplinary nature of innovation from engineering to business. Focus is on general engineering and how to generate innovative products and production of the future and on developing and demonstrating technical engineering solutions in combination with comprehensive business models.

Tallinn University of Technology (TalTech), Estonia

TalTech's Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (DMIE) deals with product development, production engineering, industrial engineering and management, transportation engineering and logistics, materials science, metal processing and technology of other engineering materials. Focus is on digital manufacturing, optimal design of composite and functional materials structures, products and manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems proactivity and production monitoring and optimisation.

Consiglio Nazionale Delle Ricerche – STIIMA (CNR-STIIMA), Italy

CNR-STIIMA is a promoter of industrial innovation and performs strategic activities of scientific research and technological development for the competitiveness and sustainability of Italian and European manufacturing industries. CNR-STIIMA will provide their competences within modelling of labs and manufacturing systems that is based on the Virtual Framework project, in which the first kernel of an integrated modelling framework for manufacturing has been conceived, developed and tested and that has been further developed and extended to other projects.
