The team of iGEM 2024 is compromised of students from several studies of academia including, medicine, biomedicine, mathematics, and chemical engineering.
The Competition
iGEM is an international biosynthetic competition, where students from about 400 different universities from 50 different countries compete against one another with projects addressing international health, environmental, and sustainability issues. The competition supports education development and community, as teams are encouraged to share their experiences and ideas to further and improve the projects of those involved.
The focus of this years project
The 2024 SDU iGEM team has chosen to focus our work on endometriosis, an often overlooked disease, effecting a significant part of the population. Our goal for the project is to develop a potential treatment for the disease as well as to spread awareness of it.
