The animal section consists of a barrier facility for housing rodents. It is possible to house mice, rats, other rodents and rabbits. Immunodeficiency animals are housed in an isolated section to minimize the risk for infections.
Facilities for short term housing of large animals such as sheep and pigs are available at the laboratory, as well as at a farm and fields, especially for housing sheep over longer periods. A limited capacity for long-term experiments on pigs can be made available upon request.
