In 2014, SDU opened a brand-new campus building in Kolding, and it has become a significant landmark for the city.
It has won several international design awards, including the International Architecture Award 2015, which only goes to the best and most significant new buildings in the world.
SDU’s Kolding campus is located by the harbour together with a number of other educational institutions such as Design School Kolding, creating an opportunity for turning Kolding into a strong centre for design and fashion research in Denmark. But SDU in Kolding has many more educational offerings, such as business administration and IT & communications programmes.
Some 2000 students and 150 staff study and work in the triangular building, which has great facilities for students, including a canteen, library and student café.

Researchers’ and university teachers' doors are always open here on campus.
This means that it is easy to get answers to any academic questions that may arise over your course of study, either by dropping by the lecturers’ offices or contacting them by phone or e-mail.
The décor of the building results in an inspiring and motivational study and learning environment, and the surrounding areas create an environment that is perfect for socializing.
