How to apply for accommodation
Full-degree students (students doing a full bachelor or masters at SDU) should apply for accommodation directly at the Sønderborg Accommodation Office (Studiebolig Syd).
Exchange students should apply for accommodation through the SDU Accommodation Office in Odense. You can apply by filling out the online application form sduhousing.sdu.dk. If you apply within the deadline specified below, you are covered by the guarantee for accommodation.

For full-degree students (students doing a full bachelor or masters at SDU): You will receive the offer for accommodation via e-mail directly for the Sønderborg Accommodation Office (Studiebolig Syd).
For exchange students: Once you have been accepted to SDU, the SDU Accommodation Office will send your name and e-mail to Studiebolig Syd. They will contact you and ask you to make an application on their website, so they have all the information needed in order to make an offer and a contract for you. It takes about 5 minutes to make an application. When you have done this, Studiebolig Syd will send you an offer for accommodation. You can expext to hear from Studiebolig Syd regarding an offer for accommodation from June 15th for the fall semester and November 15th for the spring semester.
IMPORTANT FOR ALL STUDENTS: Please remember to accept the offer, sign the contract and pay the deposit and frist month rent before the deadlines specified by the Sønderborg Accommodation Office. If you do not, you will lose the accommodation, and they will not be able to offer you another accommodation.
Full-degree students can apply for all room types direcly at the Sønderborg Accommodation Office (Studiebolig Syd). You can see the different options on their website.
Exchange students will be offered a room at Ungdomskollegiet. The address is Skovvej 20, 6400 Sønderborg.

Rooms
Approxx. 17m². The rooms have private shower and lavatory as well as freezer/refrigerator. Kitchen is shared with 17 tenants. You will have your own cupboard in the kitchen.
Furniture
The rooms are furnished with a desk, a couch that can be converted into a bed, and a closet/wardrobe. Lamps, curtains and a small table are also included.
Price
The monthly rent is 2,432. The rent includes utilities, internet and payment for the equipement package (see more below).
You will have to pay a one-time deposit of 5,000 DDK. The deposit will cover any potantial damages when you move out.
Facilities
Shared laundry, party room, fitness room, bike repair facilities.
Outdoor: soccer field, space for grill, cozy courtyard, volleyball field, parking, bike sheds.
Equipment Package
The equipment package is included in the rent. The package contains linen and kitchenware. More specifically, it contains 1 quilt, 1 pillow, 1 thin top mattress, 2 sets of linen with sheets, 2 big towels, 1 small towel, 1 dish towel, 1 dustbin, 2 mugs, 2 tumblers, 1 knife, 1 fork, 1 spoon,1 tea spoon,1 plate,1 soup plate, 1 adjustable desk lamp,1 frying pan,1 casserole.
The equipment package will be in your room when you arrive. You do not have to apply for this seperately.
Phone and Internet access
A telephone- and data network including internet connection, with a calling time/ on-time free of charge, has been
installed in all accommodations. The net is linked to the other halls of accommodations and the office.
