September 15 - The day of the 50th anniversary of the University:
The Executive Board has invited the students and teachers who started 50 years ago for lunch and tour of the campus.
At 14AM all staff and students are invited for cake and birthday song. The celebration takes place in the following locations:
Odense: Campus Square, The Winter Garden, The Studio Lounge and the Old Friday Bar.
Kolding: The Atrium
Esbjerg: In the Auditorium, Niels Bohr Road 9
Copenhagen: The "big" meeting room on the 1st floor
Sønderborg: Outside U101
Slagelse: In room 204
In celebration of the 50 years we plant the new apple trees and establish a space with benches where anyone who wants, can get a little mental break and let their thoughts fly for a while: The Apple Grove will be situated close to the large ceramic artwork "Egg" at entrance R.
The space will be ready for September 15, and the five apple trees with different, local sorts of apples will be planted in the autumn.
The Apple Grove will be a lasting memory like the three selected quotes that have been chiseled into the granite stairs at the high pillar in front of the main entrance.
October 28: Annual celebration - official celebration of the anniversary. Tickets are on sale from September 26 at 9PM at sdu.dk/aarsfest.
