Atlas Project Student, Trine Vestergaard Dam, 27, receives 1,1 million DKK from Danish Diabetes Academy. Her hope is to find out why it matters when we eat. "The risk of developing diseases such as diabetes, fatty liver and cardiovascular disease increases when we don’t follow our circadian rhythm. It is best to eat regularly – just the fact that someone eats breakfast later at weekends can be seen in their liver", says Trine.
Trine will work on her project at The University of Southern Denmark, together with her supervisors, ATLAS PIs Professor Aleksander Krag and Assistant Professor Lars Grøntved.
