Centre for Clinical Robotics (CCR) is a research and innovation centre for robotics in healthcare. The centre works with research and implementation of robot technology at Odense University Hospital (OUH) for the benefit of the staff as well as the patients. The focus is on hardware robots for use in treatment, transport and automation. CCR's role is research, development and testing of robot technologies in close collaboration with clinicians at the hospital. The centre is the first of its kind in Denmark.
There are already many robots at OUH that simplify work processes and relieve both staff and patients in everyday life at the hospital. CCR is constantly testing new areas where robotics can help the day-to-day running of the hospital.
