European partners from the Galaxy and MicrobLiver consortia met in Greece
The European partners from the collaborating consortia meet twice a year to discuss progress, challenges, and opportunities.
In October 2022, the partners from the H2020 project GALAXY and MicrobLiver projects met in Greece.
All seven clinical trials in the consortia are completed. OUH has been responsible for four of these trials. So far, our cohorts have been used for the discovery and validation of new treatment strategies for alcohol-related liver disease but also for validation of biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis of fibrosis, hepatic inflammation, and fatty liver.
We have generated an immense large data warehouse that contains high-quality clinical and omic data from all the cohorts across the consortia. The primary focus in Greece was to build on well-stabilized cooperation and identify new collaborations for future publications across cohorts and across omics fields.
