Damian Bączkiewicz is a PhD Candidate in political science at the University of Wrocław, Poland, and he currently holds the scholarship of the French government (BGF). He joined the team in July, inspired by the other members’ papers on border studies, especially about the area where he spent his childhood. His duties concern supporting the Polish team in journals coding and analyzing the outcome. He is passionate about how border issues may have an impact on the perception of the EU among the local inhabitants. Being part of the team dealing with Polish-Czech frontier, he seeks opportunities to better understand the general social processes that shape people's recognition of international organizations.
