Marion Oberhofer is a member of the Lungomare Cooperative, which works as a curator at the intersection of art and science. As part of the curatorial team at the Vienna Museum of Science and Technology, she is involved in the conception and implementation of two new permanent exhibitions on climate change and the history of science. She also works as an art and cultural mediator in various constellations inside and outside institutional spaces with a strong focus on curatorial research, intersectionality and critical theory.
Another non-academic partner is Lungomare, a platform for design and cultural production. It is a cooperative based in South Tyrol, experienced in involving citizens in heritage through art projects challenging nationalistic narratives connected to cultural sites as memorials. Lungomare’s interventions will be place- and context-specific, but with the common theme of borders shaping perceptions, creating public awareness of topics such as heritage, culture, identity and belonging. Their spectacularity and Lungomare’s experience with communication and dissemination will ensure over-regional visibility and mediate the project to a wider audience.
