Just Society

The mission of JUST SOCIETY is to promote equality by strengthening the rule of law, access to justice and redistributive public policies. These are all essential elements in the proliferation of a just society.

JUST SOCIETY’s mission aligns closely with the SDG 16 on Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions which more specifically concerns the promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.

JUST SOCIETY’s research and teaching will revolve around equality and access to justice and redistributive public policies in areas such as health care, labour market conditions and social protection and will, hence, be connected with other SDGs including SDG 1 No Poverty, SDG 5 Gender Equality, SDG 8 Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 10 Reduced Inequalities.

SDG 17 Partnerships for the Goals is also integral to JUST SOCIETY as we depend on strong partnerships, research collaborations and a global public dialogue to achieve our mission.

In November 2022, JUST SOCIETY hosted the conference ”Addressing the Rule of Law and Welfare in the SDGs”. Read more here
