Research Unit of Oto Rhino Laryngology (Odense)

Medical Audiology

Patients with hearing loss and balance disorders are the focus of our research in medical audiology. Our research must lead to improved treatment options, better understanding of the patients with hearing loss and balance disorders and must lead to improved diagnostics for the benefit of the patients.

The research is focused on the collection and analysis of clinical data, clinical trials, innovative development of new technology and test paradigms, but also epidemiology and register-based research on clinical data. The research group works together with other academic and industrial partners, especially in relation to adaptation of new technology and tests of hearing aids and cochlear implants.

We want to increase research skills among clinicians for the benefit of patients with hearing loss and balance disorders
