Nikolaos Kyvelos has been a PhD student at POLIMA since May 2023, under the supervision of Christos Tserkezis. He has an educational background in physics, holding a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Patras (2020) with a specialization in Theoretical and Computational Physics. He furthered his studies by obtaining a Master's degree from the department of Applied Mathematical and Physical Sciences from the National Technical University of Athens (2022), focusing on Quantum Photonics. His research interests lie within the field of light-matter interactions, with emphasis on theoretical and computational investigation into the fundamental physics of topological nanophotonics and optical chirality, and their potential applications in both photonic quantum technologies and biophotonics.
