Order analyses

Many advanced instruments and a wide range of facilities are available at The Department for Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy. These can be used by both internal and external parties. On this page, there is extra focus on Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) and Mass Spectrometry (MS), but there is also access to other devices at the department.

Below you can read more about the different options.

The NMR laboratory provides services for students, guests and employees at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Farmacy, as well as services for external paying clients by means of revenue-funded business.

On the pages about NMR analyses you will find specific information for:

  • Students at SDU
  • Companies

Go to the front page of NMR analyses.

Contact the department's NMR laboratory technician: Christian Brandt (mail).

The MS laboratory offers services to students, guests and staff at the Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy, as well as analyses of external samples by special appointments.

On the MS analysis pages you will find specific information about:

  • Available techniques
  • Submission of samples
  • Special agreements on external samples

Go to the front page of MS analyses.

Contact the department's MS manager: Pia Klingenberg Haussmann (mail)

Analyses on one of the department’s devices and instruments in most cases require special agreements or payment for the analyses. In order to have analyses carried out on the individual device or instrument, the department is contacted to enter into an agreement on this.

Below is an indication of which instruments the department has at its disposal, requirements in connection with use, and contact person (email) for the individual instrument.

IR (Infrared spectroscopy)

  • Analyses are equated with NMR analyses, and instructions and prices are therefore very uniform (see more about NMR here – link til virksomhedsside).
  • Samples can be submitted in person or sent to SDU by appointment.
  • Contact laboratory technician Christian Brandt (mail).

MIMS (Membran Inlet Mass Spectrometer)

  • Analyses for external clients require payment or co-financed research collaboration.
  • Samples can be submitted in person or sent to SDU by appointment.
  • Contact Professor Frants Roager Lauritsen (mail).

Thermoluminescence Dating

  • Analyses for external clients require payment or research collaboration.
  • Samples can be submitted in person or sent to SDU by appointment.
  • Contact Professor Kaare Lund Rasmussen (mail).

XRD (X-ray diffraction)

  • Analyses for external clients require payment or research collaboration.
  • Samples can be submitted in person or sent to SDU by appointment.
  • Contact Academic employee Frederik Wendelboe Lund (mail).
